Below are just a few examples.

Brownie Troop 7194 from Wheatland Center School

As part of a community service project, Brownie Troop 7194
from Wheatland Center School donated Easter baskets to
Women and Children's Horizons last April.
The troop also chose the agency as the recipient of the 22 boxes
of cookies donated by their customers this year.
Pictured are: Isabelle Stubblefield, Danielle Garrett, Cassie Schneider,
Jessica Batko, Anna Devall, Sarah Verzal and Samantha Holst.
Not Pictured: Samantha Serak, and Troop Leaders Katie Verzal and Lisa Devall.

Mr. Tim Elverman of Milwaukee, Wisconsin has generously given WCH a donation of $5,000.00 in honor of and as a memorial to his parents, Honorine and William Elverman. In Mr. Elverman's words, he was raised in Kenosha by two wonderful parents and somewhat took for granted his mother's advocacy for women in Kenosha County until later in life when he saw the love and respect shown for her by the younger women she had impacted. WCH was one of his mother's favorite organizations, and she appreciated the wonderful work that Women and Children's Horizons did on a daily basis to make the lives of women and children in Kenosha County more happy and healthy.

Members from Brownie Troop 5955 of Racine, WI

. . . donated four cases of Girl Scout Cookies to the Women and Children's Horizons' shelter. They visited the office and learned about facilities and services. Pictured to the left, top row are Christine Crawford and Jeanny deDianous, and bottom row are Tiana (Girl Scout Daisy), Taylor and Natalie.
Other Troop members who could not attend (but helped) were:
Zoe, Emma, Ashley, Abby, Caroline, Megan and Holly.

Two Artists in Kenosha, WI

A thoughtful donation was given to WCH by two local artists. At a gallery opening reception, Katy Fallucca, and Kim Rahal, gave away their works of art in a raffle, and used the money they received as donations to worthy causes in the Kenosha area. Katy Fallucca is a landscape photographer and Kim Rahal is a painter of portraits and abstract art. The money collected went to WCH and Meals on Wheels. Kim Rahal knew of Women and Children’s Horizons services. Kim also donated a print of the abstract she raffled, to be used in the Annual Golf Outing Raffle.
