SUMMARY:Steps for Survivors 2026
DESCRIPTION:🌟 Join us in creating cultural change and supporting victims of sexual assault in Kenosha County! 🌟 \nAt Women And Childrens Horizons Inc\, we know that change starts with people like you. Every act of kindness\, every dollar\, and every moment of your time brings us closer to achieving our mission. Together\, we can create a brighter\, more compassionate world for all\, and we’re excited to share in this with you during Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM). \nFor the month of April 2026\, we’re doing a county-wide step challenge (and really\, you can participate from anywhere). Track your steps however you like – step counter\, watch\, FitBit\, phone – and be sure to share on social media. We’ll have a final form where you can submit your step count at the end of the month so we can find our winners and get any feedback from you! \nFAQ: \n\nDo I have to fundraise to donate? Nope! We want everyone to participate and help us raise awareness plus get their bodies moving in the month of April.\nDo I have to fundraise a certain amount? Every dollar helps! We are so grateful for those who can donate $1 and those who can donate $1000. The same goes for someone fundraising on their own or with a team or company! All are welcome and all are appreciated.\n\nHave more questions? Email volunteercoordinator@wchkenosha.org and we’ll be happy to help. \nREGISTRATION HERE \nHow you can help power our mission: \n\nDonate: Every dollar counts. Contribute now to help us reach our goal.\nShare: Share our campaign with your friends\, family\, and on social media. Your advocacy can amplify our impact.\nVolunteer: Your time and skills can make an impact too.\n\nThank you for supporting our mission\, your support is invaluable. Let’s GET OUR STEPS IN!

SUMMARY:Women's Walk & Coffee Meetup with East View Coffee Roasters
DESCRIPTION:We are so excited for the very first Women’s Walk & Coffee Meet-Up in partnership with East View Coffee Roasters. \nJoin us on April 8th for a walk by the lake and then grab a coffee and chat before you head off to start your day. (We’ll repeat this event monthly on the second Wednesday morning!) \nWe’ll leave for our walk (rain or shine) down to the lake and back at 8:15am sharp and then return to East View Coffee Roasters for a warm (or cold) drink. All ages and women are welcome. Bring your kids\, strollers\, or come on your own. \nThe goal is a little movement and some community. You can register for FREE always (this helps us know who to watch for before we take off on our walk) but you can also do a pay-what-you-can ticket if you would like to donate to Women & Children’s Horizons. \nWe’ll meet outside the front door and head out at 8:15 am. \nClick here to register.\nRegistration is FREE but helps us know how many people we are waiting on for the walk!
