Adopt-A-Family Guidelines for Sponsors
Thank you so much for your interest in our Adopt-a-Family program. The
families that are adopted have used the services at Women and Children’s
Horizons in the past year. In order to give sponsors some direction, we have
come up with the following guidelines.
Please provide a gift (or gifts) for each member of the family. Sponsors will be provided
with a wish list which includes gift suggestions and sizes. Gift certificates for a grocery
store or gas are typically very much appreciated. These are just suggestions; please do
not feel obligated to fulfill each wish on the list.
Please wrap each gift and label the gift with the client’s id number, which will be
provided on the wish list. Parent ID# only, children will be the ID# -1,-2,-3, etc.
Please deliver all items to Women and Children’s Horizons on the date assigned at the
bottom of the wish list between 9am – 4pm. WCH is located at 2525 63* St. Kenosha,
WI 53143. If you have an exceptionally large delivery, please call before you drop off.
Due to confidentiality reasons, our staff will deliver the presents to the family.
We understand that things come up. If for some reason you are unable to sponsor the
family you were assigned or you would like to request a different deliver date, please
call as soon as possible.
PLEASE make sure to clearly and securely mark all gifts with the family’s ID number. It is
very crazy here when all the gifts roll in and we want to make sure the correct gifts are
distributed to the correct family.
•In an effort to keep it equal for all families; an approximate suggestion for each family
member is $75. If you are uncomfortable with this amount, please decline the program,
